This work is inspired by the passage of time and the consequences that this passage implies. Each of the horizontal stripes, painted in a different color, represents one of the seasons: yellow for summer, blue for winter, brown for autumn, green for spring. For its part, the Chinese characters mean: «young people», alluding precisely to the youth that is spoken of in the title. By mixing both elements, the stripes and the characters, the work finds its full meaning: the different stages of youth from spring and summer, synonymous with peak, to winter and autumn, synonymous with decline. And decay.
